[US] Mother is donating thousands of dollars to a man on tiktok live.

Hello everyone. I would like some advise. My mother has been messaging this guy on tiktok. From what my sisters told me, she claims he is just her friend. But I recently found out from a post on her story that she has sent at minimum 2 thousand of dollars on tiktok live gifts to this guy, and that is just what I have video recording of there likely is much more that I have not found.

I’m not sure what to do. On one hand its her money to spend how she wants. If she wants to spend thousands of dollars on some random man in Vietnam who am I to say she cant. But on the other this is not just sending a couple of bucks to support some creator you like this is some serious money that could be better spent on my little brother and sister that still live with her or spent literally any other way.

Just from the recordings I have she has sent 4 tiktok Universes and few other large donations and in a 30 day period she has send 5,000 messages to each other.

I’m visiting next week and I’m not sure how to bring this up. My younger siblings don’t seem to really care and my dad does not care although I’m not sure how much he knows.

I’m I crazy or being unreasonable to not want her doing this.

edit: I just want to make clear that this person is not a cat fish. He just post videos of him singing and dancing and asking for support like any other streamer. The closest thing I can compare it to is like a kpop star but on a tiktok live and with like 4000 followers.

edit 2: Thanks for all the comments. For a bit more context my mother is in her 40’s and from my best estimate she is doing it to get attention from this guy. Not to date him or anything, just for the attention and feeling she gets. I watched one of his streams and the the comments that she says to him are openly flirtatious.
