[US] Is this person trying to scam me?

i am selling my car & have it posted on facebook market place. within the first hour of posting it, someone messages me & asks if there’s anything major wrong with it. i said no & that all issues are in the description.

this person then asks me for a history report & i get one (purchased it through vincheckup). send screenshots & they ask me to get it from a specific site because it’s the only one they trust.
