[Us] Fell for pet sitting scam, what should I do?

Posted an ad on Craigslist hoping to just walk some dogs on the weekends and make a few extra bucks. Then this guys contacts me who says him and his pregnant wife will be moving to my area next week and they need a dog sitter.

You can read everything above but long story short: they offer 300$ weekly to watch their dog. Asked me for my name, phone number and address if I’m interested. I fall for it and give the info. Then I start getting suspicious when their secretary contacts me and tell him I won’t accept any check unless I can meet the guy in person. He says that won’t be possible. And that’s where we’ve left off.

I guess I’ll be okay if I just send the package back? I don’t like that someone has my address but I guess they can’t do anything with it except send weird shit or show up and kill me 🤷‍♂️ lol anyways if anyone has any advice or experience with this scam I’d appreciate it, thank you!
