[US] Did I just ruin my life with a PharMerica scam?

As the title says: I had heard there was a PharMerica scam going around- their website even states it. So I was very cautious when I received an interview for a remote position (one that I had applied for on indeed).

Every email I have received and website that I’ve visited in the interview/hiring process has seemed legit, no weird emails or odd ends of URLs, just login.pharmerica.com and such.

I’ve been chatting with a hiring manager on Signal and this didn’t raise any flags for me- previously working in the medical field I’ve used many of these messaging systems. I got an official job offer and again- nothing raised any flags

Until tonight. I received a $500 disbursement to get my equipment set up, I got transferred to the supply department and she started asking me to transfer the money back to them in the form of bitcoin?? Unless this is something I am unfamiliar with this sketched me out big time.

Of course at this point I have already done the onboarding process and so they have pictures of my drivers license and personal info (I didn’t give this out until it seemed the appropriate time and they didn’t ask for it at a weird time) any job I’ve had in the past has asked for direct deposit info and all at the same time.

I called their IT department and had a hard time understanding the man on the phone but he gave me a number to call in the morning once they’re open again

Until then I am PANICKING, is there anything I can do at this point to protect myself/my info? I feel like such an idiot. I’m not some old person falling for a Nigerian prince. I grew up online and know to look for these things.

If this is a scam this is the most well drawn out scam and I’m scared to ever internet again after this. I might just go join the Amish.
