Possible Cash App Scam USA

I’ve been dating this guy and we are long distance. We haven’t met in person yet but I know he’s real because we video chat all the time, and I can see his full name when I send or he sends money. He rarely uses social media because he’s against it and has almost no posts on his social media. I know some of his friends and family are on his friends list because I’ve talked to some of them and met them over the phone. Sometimes he asks me to send him small amounts of money on cash app, like $5, or $10. A few days later he will send me double the amount back or even more than double, saying he wants to pay me back with interest because I’m being so nice & doing him a favor by letting him borrow $. Is there any way this could be some kind of scam that I could lose my money or he could take money from me somehow? I don’t mind losing $5 or $10 dollars, that’s nothing. But is there something I’m missing here? Could this possibly be a scam?
