PM – course or books?

I just sat the TX exam this week, I used the BPP course. In actual fact I found the videos weren’t too useful. I was using the textbooks / exam kit / ACCA study hub much more than the videos.

I will be doing PM next. My employer is paying, but to be honest it feels like a waste buying the BPP course for ~£600. I found that I can get the BPP ebook and exam kit for around £55. Only thing I feel I would loose is the videos (which I didn’t find helpful), and the tutor support (which I did use a few times).

Based off other people’s experiences with PM and ACCA in general are textbooks usually sufficient without a full course? Thank you
