(Canada)Just got a bizarre international call. It kind of freaked me out

The call display said  » international call » Texas. I didn’t answer it of course. I got a notification several minutes later that I had a voicemail. I checked my voicemail, expecting it to be a regular scam call message. But instead it sounded like a pocket dialed conversation. I listened for a bit and started to make out that it was kids playing a game online. But after listening for a little longer, I realized it was my son, who is upstairs( not in texas) playing fortnite and talking about wrestling. How is this possible? I’m kind of freaked out about it. He was playing with his local friends and relatives, all from Canada.

**Edit- something he said must have triggered the Amazon echo dot in his room to call my phone. Looking back in the app history, that’s what it was. Thanks to all that helped!
