Just a heads up for anyone thinking about using VINinspect for a quick $1 VIN report.

I paid $1 for what looked like a simple one-time service. I only used the site ONCE. A few days later, they charged me $35 for a subscription I never knowingly signed up for. There was no clear warning, just the usual buried fine print during checkout.

When I contacted support asking for a refund, they refused — and instead offered me « store credit » for future reports (which I don’t want or need). Even after canceling the subscription immediately and explaining that I had no intention of using their ongoing service, they stuck to their “policy” and wouldn’t refund the $35.
