APM advice – KPI creation

Hi all, I am starting to learn APM for Sept and heard people say I should start thinking how to create and apply KPIs for everything around me since P paper are about applying what you learned.

Is it true that it can help, and can someone help me through some steps to create KPI efficiently ? TIA everyone
