As title states, received a random text from someone that was meant to go to another person asking to have coffee.
The punctuation and literacy seems like a legit person, and not a scammer but I’m still uncertain.
Them -Do you have time tomorrow afternoon? Let’s have a cup of coffee together
Me – Wrong number
Them – Isn’t this Annie?
Me – No it is not, sorry. But hopefully Annie is okay 👍🏻 (Michael Jackson joke to throw them off)
Them – Sorry, I accidentally entered the wrong number when I was processing the email. I thought it was Annie. I hope it didn’t cause you any trouble 😢
Me – All is well on this end – hopefully you can get in contact with her and enjoy your coffee.
Have a good day 😊
Them – Thank you for your understanding. This is the first time this has happened to me, but I’m lucky to meet a good-tempered person, otherwise I might have been scolded 😂
I contacted Annie again. I told her about the wrong message and made her laugh 😅
Me – Glad to hear you managed to get in contact with her.
There’s enough anger and turmoil in the world as it stands, no need to fuel the fire 👍🏻
Them – Thank you. It was your kindness and politeness that made me relax. To be honest, I was a little at a loss when I found out that I had sent the wrong message
By the way, what should I call you?
And this is where I stopped responding.
Anyone else ever received these kind of messages before?
