Fake academic conferences has been around for at least 20 years. They are low quality conferences that accept everyone just to make money. Here are the signs:

Expensive registration fee compared to other academic conferences Attractive destination every single year Very broad list of topics Lowly grad students get invites for giving talks You cannot find info on the individuals from the scientific committee Organization and conference names sound like existing organizations

Notable examples are WORLDCOMP and american-cse dot org. There may be others. Please do not give money to the fake conference to have a one extra line in your CV.
