Am I just paranoid or was an old lady trying to scam me?

So I was at the atm yesterday evening depositing coins into the machine. There are three machines in the lobby, 2 of which you can deposit money into. I am alone in the lobby when an old lady comes in and says are you finished (very politely) and I say almost 🙂 She then says can I go first? I apologise and ask sorry what was that? She said can I go first, I will be quick. I tell her I am in the middle of my deposit but there are other machines she can use. She got grumpy at that and said no that one (other deposit machine) is closed ( it wasn’t ) then left.

It was such a weird interaction and has left me wondering if I was being an asshole and that’s why she was mad or was it something else…anyone hear of old ladies scamming people at atms lately 😥
