My recent experience with appnebula turned out to be a total scam, so I wanted to give you a heads-up.
After luring you in with an astrological or « starseed » quiz, they ask you to pay with PayPal to download their app. At first, it appears genuine.
You discover after paying that there is no app—nothing anywhere, not even on Google Play. You actually pay for nothing.
Even worse, I was charged an additional $50 from my PayPal account as soon as I clicked on the « support email » link on their website. It happened instantly, but I’m still baffled as to how this could have happened with only clicking on an email link.
To be honest, I’m amazed at how simple it is for these scammers to operate, but I have also lodged a dispute with PayPal. Avoid appnebula or similar websites if you see them. It’s a money trap rather than a genuine product.
Has anybody else encountered this fraud? Have you had any success obtaining PayPal refunds in situations similar to this?
