Almost certainly got door to door scammed; need advice

So I answered the door a few minutes ago and there was a man standing outside who claimed to be a rep from my gas company. Said they were doing work on the pipeline, etc, etc.

It ended up with me giving him my signature and phone number on a form I didn’t fully read (I skimmed it, fully aware I’m a complete moron). Is this just the typical energy service switching scam? He didn’t ask for any of my utility account info, though he did inquire about where my meter was.

Will be calling my utility companies tomorrow, but I’m curious if this could be something else entirely? Feel unbelievably stupid.

Edit : as I’ve told another commenter some of the language on the form I signed involved grantee/grantor, and I’m concerned this was a real estate scam.
