My mom is being scammed

My previous post was removed as I posted a picture of the unfortunate fellow whose likeness was stolen. I apologize.

My (90 year old) mom is being scammed by the oil rig romance scam. The old I’m a widower with a young child with a heart condition. I can’t contact my daughter so can you be friends with her? When i ask her why his daughter can’t download the same app(telegram) that she downloaded…crickets. Why is he contacting some random person to befriend his daughter instead of family or someone from his church….no idea How old is he-I don’t know Where is he from- I don’t remember Please help me convince her. She absolutely won’t beleive me. When I did a reverse image search, Nothing came up. « Paul », he’s on an oil rig in Mexico. He can contact my mother in Canada but not his daughter in the US.

Update- a fellow redditor gave me a link and I found the real person. I showed my mom this poor guys pictures were being used and has no idea. She is quiet. And in shock. I deleted telegram. I called the bank and put a note on her account restricting wire transfers
